Apple Walnut Stuffing

this is really, really good stuffing. My mom got it from a local resturant she did a story on. And it's easy to make, which is nice :)

Apple Walnut Stuffing

1/8 c. margarine/butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. raisins
2   c. chopped, pared apples
3   c. cubed white bread
4   c. coarsely choopped walnuts
1/4 tbs. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Heat margarine in a large skillet. Saute the onions and celery until they're tender, about 5 minutes. Put the onions and celery in a large bowl and lightly toss with a fork the remaining ingredients until well mixed. (Stuff turkey if desired). Makes 6 servings.
