9/6/2004 Grilled Shrimp dad's recipe Italian Dressing (or use about 1/4-1/3 packet of italian salad dressing mix powder mixed with about 3? tbsp olive oil) 1 lb Shrimp Cocktail Sauce Skewers Peel, vein, and wash shrimp. Marinate shrimp in italian dressing in refrigerator at least 1 hour before grilling. (Don't let shrimp get to room temperature. Don't thaw shrimp at room temperature - thaw in fridge.) Skewer shrimp (about 6 per skewer), and grill. Grill for 6 minutes per side on our grill on low, when it's running out of propane. Serve on skewer with cocktail sauce. You can also fry them on med hi for 2 minutes, maybe less (no flipping needed). No oil is needed if you marinate in italian dressing.
