Sweet Potato Pie 10/11/2005 From Williams & Sonoma Pie & Tart book, page 52 1 pie dough round pecan streusel: 1 tbsp firmly packed light brown sugar 1/4 c pecan, coarsely chopped 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon filling: 1 large garnet yam (orange-fleshed sweet potato), 12-14 oz (1 c after pureeing) 3/4 c firmly packed light brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt 2 large eggs 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp ground allspice 1 1/4 c heavy (double) cream for serving: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
